It’s the kind of place that works well whether you’re stopping by for a laid-back dinner, grabbing a drink with friends, or picking up something quick from their deli to fuel a day trip.

The atmosphere tends to lean toward relaxed and social, especially in their outdoor courtyard seating. This space invites groups to linger over a mix of inventive cocktails and generous plates without feeling rushed. Visitors often find the seating outdoors a good spot for warmer days and evenings, where conversation flows easily amid the fresh air.

The menu highlights a variety of Mediterranean staples with a gastropub twist. Dishes like the Lamb Kebab Plate served with rice and hummus, or the Chicken Shawarma Plate, offer filling, hearty options ideal for a satisfying meal. The fried and loaded fries, including feta fries and shawarma fries, stand out as popular shareable bites that pair well with the bar’s inventive drinks, such as the Pseudo Lady Beer.

Service experiences can vary, but overall the staff creates a welcoming and easygoing environment that complements the fresh, straightforward food. The pita bread, however, may not meet everyone’s expectations for softness — some find it a bit too thin or chewy, which is worth noting if you’re a hummus lover hoping for the perfect pairing.

This spot is best for those who enjoy Mediterranean flavors presented with generous portions and a lively, community-oriented atmosphere. It suits visitors who appreciate balancing bold tastes with a casual dining vibe, especially on sunny afternoons and early evenings. We’re visiting the area and our family took us to Pita Kabob — so glad they did! The shawarma plate and chicken kabob plate were delicious and really filling. We sat outside and enjoyed the relaxed vibe and great service.

We ordered and ate in the deli. I had the Greek salad and added chicken swarma. It was good. A bit plain. 3 olives, 2 tomatoes, 4 garbanzo beans and a tablespoon of feta. All of the ingredients were fresh there just were not enough of them.i got a side of pita. Skip the pita it was too thin, cold, tasteless. I also had the fries. Get the fries!!!

Delicious! We loved all the food we got and the cocktails were delightful (La Violet & Jalisco Mojito). Fresh, generous and tasty! Great outdoor courtyard. They also have a shop/deli where we stocked up on provisions to take to the National Park and for our road trip. Try the cilantro jalapeño hummus and the baba ganoush!

Great hummus, lively vibes, and filling portions—but keep an eye on the service and pita. ⸻ Food: We tried a solid spread of dishes that showed potential, with a few hits and minor misses. • The Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus was the highlight—creamy, flavorful, and well-balanced with just the right kick. Unfortunately, the pita bread fell short; it lacked the softness you’d expect and turned chewy and dry, making it hard to enjoy as a scoop. • The Spicy Wrap was satisfying and packed well, though it didn’t quite deliver on the “spicy” promise. Flavor-wise, it was good, but could benefit from a bit more seasoning to make it stand out. • The Vegetarian Bowl was a win—filling and well-portioned, with the flavorful pilaf acting as the hero of the plate. The falafels were crisp, and the salad and fried pita chips added freshness and crunch. • The fries were nicely seasoned, and served fresh and hot, great as a side. Service: Service was average—not terrible, but not seamless either. We didn’t receive plates until we were nearly done with the appetizers, and the ones we eventually got were wet, which was unexpected for a restaurant of this caliber. Other than that, the staff were pleasant and the food arrived in good time. Ambience: The outdoor seating area is beautifully done—string lights, warm wood, and ambient music made it an ideal spot for a relaxed evening dinner. The space strikes a great balance between casual and cozy, and it’s well-maintained both indoors and out. Pricing: Pricing was reasonable and worth it for the portion sizes. You can expect a hearty meal that doesn’t break the bank, especially considering the quality of most items. ⸻ Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) Pita Kabob is a great casual dinner pick with strong Mediterranean flavors, generous portions, and a fun outdoor vibe. Some small tweaks in service and pita texture would take the experience from good to great.

Stopped at Pita Kabob on our way to Yosemite for my son's wedding. We went a little bit off the beaten path and it was well worth the extra miles to find such a gem of a Mediterranean restaurant. I had the lentil soup and it was so delicious with all the flavors of a great lentil soup. Everyone else had pita wraps and they loved every bite. Good food, atmosphere and service. We also loved the town of Visalia, so cute and historic.

The food was amazing. You can taste the richness of the meat. The atmosphere is ok can get a little rowdy and crowded. The server is very nice and polite. Prices can be a bit expensive, but it's worth it. There are vegan options to choose from the menu.

It's definitely a hidden gem, with an amazing staff and probably the best beer selection on tap! Not to mention their great food selection...highly recommend it to anyone in the area or even passing through!
